We have lived in Saudi Arabia for a year and a half, and in that time, we've experienced lots of things this country has to offer. We've been diving in the Red Sea, camping in the desert, and experienced a few too many sandstorms. We've been to Al-Ula for the weekend to see the southernmost point of the Nabatean empire (the same people who built Petra in Jordan), and we've toured the shops and sites of Jeddah's historic Al-Balad. We've been to many of the malls in the city and have made several Saturday morning trips to IKEA. We started learning Arabic, and we've acquired a taste for dates and Arabic coffee. Overall, this has been an incredible experience, and we are thankful for the opportunity to be here. We hope our time here will continue to provide us with new places to explore, people to meet, and experiences to write home about.
